ELF HAUL

Interesting find on iherb.com

I got all these at a real bargain. Less than usd$2 each. The few items that are expensive ($3.99) is the eyelashes.
These lashes are 3 type for 3 different occasions.

I normally don't use the glue, it's up to you.

The bronzers - I bought 3 Colours, beautiful pay off because of no shimmer, this is perfect for contouring. It is not meant for bronzing... in my opinion.

Next item- full coverage concealor is sand. I am so gonna stock up!! Perfect for my nc25 skin. I think nc20 is still fine. I use this for my dark eye-rings.

Definitely no:
Navy eye liner (gel) please don't waste money on it. I can't get good payoff. Think I have to use this eye shadow cream!!

Hiatus revealed

I just had few changes in life and was concentrating on career... Sorry for missing you guys!!

I am back with my nail polish reviews!!

Plus- my constant mutterings of make up.

Opi- Coca cola collection

Let me know what you like to see..., have been buying loads of nail polishes (ELF, Deborah lippman, Make Up Store, FACESHOP.....)

Sorry I'm fizzy today, you're so vanilla and lastly coca-cola red.

First swatch!

Coca cola red- easy to apply, smooth and only 2 coats! Definitely creme.

Ombré nails- sunset boulevard

If you have seen my posting on Facebook, you would know that I am crazy about ombré nails.

Basically you use shades of nail polish of similar family colour and sponge them on your nails.

1) apply them in strips on the dpi for (tip: sponge is 50%wet- not dripping)
2) sponge once, re-apply the colours and sponge again
3) I repeat this thrice in order to have intensity and opaqueness.
4) apply topcoat, I use Seche Vite!

Base coat- Chinaglaze
3 colours- Essie Cute as a Button, Mavala Waikiki orange, Mavala Vegas Pink
Top coat- Seche Vite

Cupcakes- yummy...

Desserts... Glorious sweets...

I decided to do a manicure that my son will approve of. Mini cupcakes with sprinkles. Top that off with a red cherry!

I did a few variations because I was having 2 minds out it.

Looking at the pastels, you realize I used darker colours, which is a pity... Pastels will be likely a better choice! If pastels are not within your reach, just mix white! Easy!

I had a bit of problem with the white, it was dry, but after smoothing out with topcoat Seche Vite, nice!!

Barielle- Decadence

This is a post for my first new Barielle polish. I got to say... This Is The One!

I have never tried Barielle, I hope all colours has such pay-off! Real smooth, 2 coater, vibrant and shiny.

The pictures taken here, can't translate my joy.... You have to try this yourself.

It is a deep sea green, with hints of blue. Under sunlight/flash, it gleams bright greenish silver shimmer.

(rest of nails- OPI Dulce de Leche)

Essie - Cute as a Button (Frenchie)

Must share this with you- a rich coral pink!

I surfed online and chanced upon this colour, and I was thinking of the summer colour for my toes.

So.... I bought it! eBay was good as this colour was from spring 2009, quite hard to find. Application was real easy, a creme but jellyish.... (You get my drift)

Ciate French nails- real chic

I got my package from Beautybay.com!

Twilight- black with multiple golds
Sugared Almonds- nude beige flesh
Mistress- red!

You should have seem my post last week on the red nails, I was mesmerized by Adele's nails so I went online for this!

Real nice if you got the time- sugared almonds take 3 coats to even out, as expected for beige colours.

I am surprised Twilight was clumpy, had to go over twice. Hmmm, maybe dilute it next round.

Mistress is way smooth, very liquid, only 1 coat. Brush is excellent. I am baffled, same brand but different textures?

Vintage nails with roses design

Vintage nails with roses design
I wanted to show you the light pink on my nails together with the acrylic designs but the picture looks a bit blur. If you can click on and expand it, you shall see roses with 2 tones (Darker pink and light pink). I bought the acrylic paint Oumaxi online via EBay. Great price! Only SGD $13.88 for 12 colours, from Hongkong. The colours missing will be the Gold and Silver, which I think I will be ordering very soon!!

The overall feel should be vintage-y so the pink base is a tad light and dusty. You can try with greys and pinks, really nice!!

Essence -Ballerina backstage collection

You know how sometimes, you never wanted to buy any, yet you went home with a truckload. Look at this packaging, lace printed in Matt black covers and glass bottles. Fancy eh?

- eye souffle (grand plié in black), blush souffle (prima ballerina) and nail polish (on your gracile tiptoe).

Not yet swatched the eye, but the blush is sooo creamy!! The polish will have to be another page!

Essence - mini collection

I got this whole array of makeup that is really my fave bargain from Kuala Lumpur. My recent trip really got my shopping engine kickin. These cosmetics as mentioned in previous blog is real deal, with unbeatable prices and colour payoff.

For those of you, some of these are even made in France. My next trip going up there, I will be grabbing more. You know me, makeup is never enough!

Essence- nail polish and makeup

Part of my jewels in the recent KL trip. Real good make up- pigmented, smooth and easy to apply. They are made in Italy, some Belgium, some Germany.

You can find this brand in the coci coci store. I got mine from the one right outside the Vincci store around Lot 10.

Nail of the day- China Glaze Rose tea

With the Lunar New Year coming round the corner (23rd Jan), I was thinking of something different for the office. Pinks are predominantly my colours for office, so when I saw this on sale, I grabbed 2! One for my dear friend and the other for me.

The bottle picture is courtesy of Polish Galore, whereas the swatch is mine. I am still too lazy to watermark my pictures but... what...ever...
